Many of us working with Grapheel are students at the University of Sussex, which gives us the benefit of indulging in some of the support offered to us as fragile young academics. This includes the Students’ Union: a student body that UK students will be familiar with as National Union of Students (NUS) that has Students’ Unions in almost all universities across the country.
Recently, we spoke to some of the Sussex Students’ Union’s educational officers who had heard of us and had become interested in our story. Grapheel is, naturally, rooted in the fact that there are so many obstacles that many disadvantaged students and this is something that the Students’ Union and the NUS are very passionate about too.
